In a nutshell...

The Sales Team Lead (STL) is responsible for building and developing a high-performing team who achieves or, ideally, exceeds membership and fitness sales targets. This is accomplished through lead generation, appointment setting, delivering a world-class experience when potential members visit the club, discovering their "why," closing the deal and flawless execution of our Sales playbook.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Build and develop a high performing team. The STL establishes a culture within the team that adheres to our core values and drives accountability. The STL is responsible for attracting, hiring, coaching and maximizing the engagement of the sales team for their fitness center.
  • Exceeds membership and fitness sales targets. The STL manages and achieves overall membership and fitness sales targets by driving performance in the following areas:
    • Generate leads. The STL works with their team to identify people who want to improve their physical, mental and emotional health. This is accomplished by networking, engaging guests, cold calling, etc
    • Set appointments. The STL works with their team to convert leads into appointments.
    • Deliver a world-class experience. The STL works with their team to ensure every person who walks into their fitness center receives a friendly greeting, thorough and UPLIFTing presentation of the center (which includes introductions to other team members), and has every question answered.
    • Discover their "Why": The STL works with their team to identify the fitness objectives potential members are seeking to achieve and helps them understand how their fitness center can help them identify the right programs/tools to achieve them, including Group Fitness classes, TEAM Training, Personal Training, etc.
    • Closing the deal. The STL works with their team to secure membership and fitness sessions "yeses" from prospective members in a no-pressure way.
  • Flawless playbook execution. The STL ensures that all sales playbooks are executed by the sales team to precision in their fitness center.

Qualifications 

The qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • 3+ years' experience building high performing sales teams required 
  • Applicable and transferable experience ideally from the fitness or retail industries required
  • Bachelor's degree or applicable work experience preferred 
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and interpersonal savvy
