 POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE:      Talent Acquisition Specialist ("TAS")

REPORTS TO:            Director of Human Resources

FSA:                            Exempt

LOCATION:               Orem, Utah           

 

PURPOSE

The TAS partners closely with business unit leaders, hiring managers and Human Resources Business Partners, leveraging creative sourcing strategies, relationship-building and effective communication skills to identify the talent needed for the company to achieve its vision and objectives.

 

DELIVERABLES

The deliverables for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Establishes effective relationships. This deliverable involves building effective relationships with hiring managers and candidates to support processes, programs and projects.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert. This deliverable involves partnering with and guiding hiring managers regarding recruitment issues, policies and processes. The TAS also provides expertise on the employment market, trends and innovative recruiting techniques to ensure competitiveness in hiring.
  • Strategic sourcing. This deliverable involves conducting research to identify active and passive candidates for current and future needs. The TAS also develops and manages pools of candidates for high-priority roles within assigned business areas and coordinates / attends career and networking events.
  • Owns the process. This deliverable involves managing the full lifecycle recruitment processes for assigned positions within assigned business areas.
  • Ensure compliance. This deliverable involves monitoring and ensuring compliance to company, state and federal employment guidelines.
  • Keeps everyone in the loop. This deliverable involves providing progress reports to all stakeholders so that everyone is aware of timelines, challenges and proposed solutions.
  • Record keeping. This deliverable involves maintaining accurate, well-ordered and compliant documentation on candidates, searches, hiring managers' interactions and other recruiting activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

The qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • 1-3 years' experience in a talent acquisition role in related field.
  • An undergraduate degree preferred
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office products required.
